life drawing faces

so this weeks life drawing session the model didnt turn up, so i posed (clothed) for 30mins, so we all decided to take it in turns and draw each others faces, it was a hell of a challenge but amazing practice ad faces for a lenghth of time.  but it was a valuable learning experience.

Life drawing on my bike

Todays life drawing the model was on my motorbike. Was a great session very dificult to draw the model and the bike in the allocated time frame

well its that time of the week again where all you get to see on my blog is stupid amounts of life drawing, i dont know why i just leave this blog for drawings and create a new one just for animaiton stuff, but that doesnt happen very offten, ah well heres some life drawings from todays session. enjoy

life drawing at garth olwg today was a long pose so i had the chance to bring out some paints, something i have not done since college. but im quite happy with the outcome  had real blast.

todays life drawing was very interested the model had a prob with her. the prop was a cello, i find in really interesting when models use props because then you have to make it believable. people have to be able to tell what the prop is and how the model is interacting with it. it also gives you a challenge to draw the prop aswell. you have to concentrate harder in a short time and for me that is how you lean/improve

this was originaly a 30min pose but the model had  a cramp in her legs and she changes the pose 

this is my absolute favourite pose of the evening i feel my skills came through here in this 30min pose

life drawing from today sessions, was a nice range of poses today and the male model had a pair of crutches to use as a prop, it was quite difficult to get the weight distribution. but its all learning

life drawing from garth olwg. today was a ligts out session so we were drawing in the dark with lamps illuminating the model. great for shadows.

This was from the most recent session at lfe drawing. i decided to experiment with coloured paper.  i though black and white would be nice. and then i experimented further with coloured water colour pencils. to give it a more abstract yet form considerd drawing. im really proud of both of these drawings

 these are from a life drawing session about a month ago. i have no reason why they went uploaded straight away but here they are. the bottom left one is my favourite. i wanted to break away from pencil or ink so i used coloured pencils in the complimentary range. the green and red made this observational study more interesting to look at. ill use more complementary in the future

life drawing for 14-11-12. as you can tell every wednesday I go to a local life drawing class. This time decided to use brown paper to break it up a little bit. it can get a little bit boring constantly drawing on white paper or just using the sketchbook. i  really enjoyed the drawings i produced tonight. but then again I always do I feel my drawings are  getting better every session witch is great.
